Step by step following up the traces of nature, entering into the spirit of the scenic beauty of the Alps and enjoying the magic moment of climbing to the summit of a peak. Hiking and walking round about your Organic Hotel in the Pitztal Valley means hiking– and walking tours in one of the most beautiful valleys of Tyrol. We are proud to be registered as a partner hotel of the Kaunergrat Natural Park and thus demonstrate our particular love of the unspoilt beauty of the region.
There are 380 kilometres of marked and signed trails in three hiking and walking areas. These invite the visitor to come and enjoy the picturesque panorama, the healthy mountain air and the rushing waters of the mountain streams. You can freely drink of bubbling brook; just take time off to enjoy a quite especial view
Observe the flora and fauna of the Pitztal Valley, extending from lush green valley meadows through wonderful shady woodland right up to the region of the everlasting ice. It will be a pleasure for us to accompany you during your hiking- and walking vacation in the Pitztal Valley on guided tours and show you personally the most impressive spots
Just behind the hotel the hike starts. First, we walk though the steep forest to Luibisalm. A path with many serpentines brings us to the Luibisalm (no service). If the weather is nice and you are in good physical shape then we recommend you to go on to the Luibisböden. Next, we go to the mountain lake “Moalandlsee” (2,530 m) and then to the summit of Grabkogel at 2,651 m.
You need to be an experienced hiker for that tour. There are some steeper parts.
You start your hike at Rehwald, a small village above Zaunhof. Here, an easy trail starts and you get to the Mauchelealm. Next, you follow the small path to the Brechsee – the first of three beautiful mountain lakes.
We recommend you to walk to the end of the lake because if doing so you can see the wonderful reflection of the mountains in the water. Then the descent brings you to the Söllbergalm. Here you should definitely taste the local specialties. After 30 min you are back at Rehwald.
Your Organic Hotel Stillebach in the Pitztal Valley of the Tyrol nearby the Pitztal Glacier is wonderfully surrounded by imposing ridges of mountains.
