Our Philosophy

We are a Biohotel

Why Biohotel? Our standard answer is:

“If we weren’t so far from normal, we wouldn’t need organic!”

Actually, it is quite simple: It is about a mindful approach to our nature, a loving view toward the animals, and a respectful interaction with our fellow human beings.
Or perhaps it’s not that simple? Fields and crops are still over-fertilized, animals are only seen as meat products, and many people can no longer live on their wages. More than ever, we are all called upon to look “at the whole picture”! And, thus:

100% organic based on 100% conviction

We don’t do 100% organic. We live organic! And more than that: We have been successfully ehc-certified for years, meaning that we are concerned about our CO² emissions and sustainable commitment, and work hard every day to preserve the world in its diversity.

If you are planning your first holiday in an organic hotel, just relax. You will be sated, it will be delicious, and you will certainly enjoy it. Our recreational activities also focus on nature and the Biohotel concept. We invite you to discover a world of experience around your Biohotel Stillebach during your summer or winter vacation in Pitztal. Our hiking trails and cross-country skiing routes start right at our house, and this is also where you can begin your jogging or walking tour as well as a Nordic walking excursion. Afterward, you can relax in the panorama sauna and infrared cabin offered by our organic hotel in Tyrol. This means feeling good all-round during your wellness vacation in Pitztal.

Carbon neutral organic hotel

We are carbon neutral!
That’s a significant term! We are delighted about it, of course, but we see this as an assignment, not an award. “Climate” takes place everywhere, and commitment to it has an effect all over the world. We have invested in selected environmental projects accompanied by experts. These include the reforestation of a forest area in Uruguay and a project to protect the rainforest and to support small local farmers in Peru.

We already made a big contribution by offering 100% organic food at our own hotel, of course. Still, there are plenty of other ways to invest in a sustainable and climate-friendly manner. It is usually quite expensive and not always immediately feasible. However, we have big goals, and we believe we are on the right track.
